National OJ Day

Did you know today was National OJ Day! Today at Centennial Park in Atlanta, GA National OJ Day was celebrated with orange juice and popcorn give aways, orange jugglers and a mural painting on the sidewalk. School children that were on field trips babies and people on their lunch breaks got a special treat as they strolled through the park today, I wonder how many people knew until they came through. FDOC Public Relations Director David Steele was also in the park to talk about Americas favorite 100 fruit juice.  They say:  The majority of Americans don’t get enough fruits and vegetables in their diets. The good news: the USDA Dietary Guidelines recognizes 100 percent fruit juice, such as OJ, as a convenient and delicious way to help children and adults meet fruit intake recommendations. That’s because every glass of 100% orange juice is packed with essential nutrients, such as vitamin C, potassium and folate – all with no added sugar.
