The Urban League of Greater Atlanta held its Spirit of the League Awards Luncheon on last Friday at the 12 Hotel in Atlantic Station where Honorees & VIP's were served in the Hotel for a press conference reception to announce the honorees of this years SOTLA, after they were taken across the breezeway to a luncheon held at the hotel. Keshia Knight Pulliam, most remember her as little Rudie Huxtable from the Cosby Show back in the late 80's and early 90's. Keshia is from Newark New Jersey but transitioned to Georgia where she attended and graduated from Spelman College in the AU Center an HBC here in Atlanta, Georgia. Keshia was honored at the luncheon, and gave an excellent speech about her Kamp Kizzie, which started off as a girls camp but has migrated into a boys camp as well, Keshia loves giving back and she doesn't hesitate to tell you how she loves and how she got started with her Kamp Kizzie. Keshia says pay it forward. The Urban League also received a check for $100 thousand dollars presented to them by Commissioner John Eaves.
